DeKweeper Community Garden – Workshop #3 – Compost Systems & Companion Planting
May 29 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Our third workshop will once again focus on the muddy thing, we walk on every day. Soil. We will learn all about composting, and companion planting, a system, in which different crops are planted together, so they benefit each other. Get your gardening outfit and see you on this (hopefully sunny) Sunday morning!
The workshop will take place in DeKweepeer, a beautiful community garden in Amstelveen, located South of Amsterdam. In DeKweepeer, we produce organic vegetables for family and friends and benefit dinners, by involving the neighborhood, refugees and young activists: https://dekweepeer.wordpress.com/. Throughout the year, we organize a series of workshops focusing on the topics of ‘Seeds and Soils’. By joining such a workshop, you will gain practical knowledge and might move a step closer to knowing how to grow your own vegetables. The workshop starts at 11am; after 2 hours of workshop, everyone is invited to join in on a potluck lunch; feel free to bring food you want to share! The workshops will be for free!
If you are interested in joining send an email to kweepeer.amstelveen[at]gmail.com
Make sure to bring sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing that can get dirty!
De Kweepeer is located at Bankraspad 10, 1184 TW Amstelveen.
