Super excited to announce our inaugural Fertile Ruins, a new performance fundraiser @eellzzss is launching with @rrrrrrri7a and @bkcubcake. Their aim is to build a space where experimental art, community building and political context can cross pollinate.

This month they are featuring the fine wordsmithing of @queer_chickadee , with performances by @eellzzss and @rrrrrrri7 and the sonic gifts of @vlad.miruna. They gather to raise funds for ASEED, an awesome grassroots food sovereignty organization here in Amsterdam.

Fertile Ruins is where artistic celebration did not have to be divorced from the brutal realities we face, but could instead be a means of engaging those realities more deeply. Tired of the a-political cynicism we found in so much of the art world, we want to wholeheartedly take-on notions and practices of community, politics, love, care, and just giving a shit.

If we’re living the apocalypse, the end of this world, how do we leave fertile ruins for the next?
