Mycelia van Hoop goes to Reclaim the Seeds Nijmegen!
April 9, 2023 @ 10:30 am - 6:00 pmFree
On Sunday 9th of April we will meet at CSA Eetmeerbosch in Nijmegen for a full day of farming and building activities!
´Mycelia van Hoop’ is an initiative from the Dutch Agroecology Network that aims to bring agroecological farmers, activists and allies closer together. It is sometimes difficult for agroecological farmers to leave their farms and find time for activism outside of work, and activists (as well as many others) are very likely to overwork themselves. Both could use a place and some company to regenerate, and Mycelia van Hoop would like to create this place by organising day gatherings at different agroecological farms. The farming and building activities are defined depending on the farmer’s needs, allowing for an exchange of knowledge and skills. The goal is to link rural and urban realities, build a more resilient movement based on a culture of mutual aid and regeneration, and all going back home stronger.
For this event, we are invited to join the Community supported Agriculture (CSA) project Eetmeerbosch. We are going to start the day with tea/coffee and getting to know each other, followed by a nature sensory walk to ground ourselves in the place we’ll be spending the day at. After a brunch break provided by the amazing cooking collective Le Sabot, we will have a tour of the CSA. We will then work on the ‘heart’ of the farm and build a relaxing space to get together where gatherings can be organised. We will end the day by having a bonfire and drinks in this collectively created space.
