Pesticides debate in Amsterdam

On Thursday April 5th, ASEED will participate in a debate (In English) on pesticides organised by the Green Office of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. A representative from Syngenta and a professor in ecotoxicology will also be present.

During this open debate we will discuss together with our guests speakers the impacts of chemical agriculture.

* Syngenta, one of the global leading companies in the sector, is coming to the Green Office to talk about their “sustainability strategies”, including innovative crop protection techniques and the “The Good Growth Plan”.

* Tjerk Dalhuisen, from ASEED Europe will be explaining their position and perspective over the use of chemicals pesticides in agriculture.

* Dr. Kees van Gestel (Associate Professor of Ecotoxicology, Department of Ecological Science VU), will be explaining the research he is carrying out about the effects of selected pesticides and their impacts on soil ecosystem functioning.

There will also be space for Q&A with both presenters.
