SOLIDARITY IS NOW

ASEED is taking seriously the gravity of the current situation. We are some of the privileged few that have homes to quarantine in, and that can (just about) afford to self-isolate for the coming months. Therefore, we will not be holding any public events until further notice. On the other hand, we believe that it is still important to keep working and share ideas. We also see a strong need for community activism in the form of solidarity kitchens, providing shelter etc. in these times.

For now we will continue our activities digitally and get involved in community projects individually. Please keep tuned on our social media and website to keep updated. You can also contact us at info@aseed.net for questions or suggestions.

It is frighteningly clear that we must join together in solidarity. The emergence of divisive and hateful speech that we see around us is unacceptable, as well as the use of this crisis to prop up industries which can not sustain a healthy future for us and the planet.

Now more than ever, we are realising that we live in an interconnected world, what happens to the most vulnerable of us, happens to all of us. Let’s take care of ourselves and each other, let’s not be controlled or divided by fear and hate. Let’s take this moment to reflect and hold each other up, and let’s build more autonomous power from below to emancipate ourselves from systems which allow such immense risk for the sake of profit.
