We all deserve access to healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food that was grown, processed and sold under conditions that respect nature and other (human) beings. But Injustices in the food system are not random, various forms of oppression intersect with the struggle for a fair food system and the pandemic has especially shown how much of the current food system depends on the exploitation of migrant workers. In this reading group we want to get more familiar with the concept of food justice and the different aspects it entails.
We will be looking at:

- COVID-19 foodwork, race, gender, class and food justice: an intersectional feminist analysis by Elaine Swan
- Unbroken Connection to the Land (FoodFirst! Interview with farmworker activist Rosalinda Guillen)
