Universities are not the only ones with ties to oppressive regimes, such as Israel. Fossil companies make billions with their neo-colonial projects, on the backs of people in Palestine and worldwide. As our energy bills rise, the Global South is plundered, and people are oppressed and murdered, fossil big polluters get richer and richer. Natural disasters and droughts claim thousands of lives every year. Fossil fuel extraction and emissions lead to health problems, destruction of communities and loss of land.

With lies that gas is a clean fuel, the government and fossil industry justify the expansion of even more destructive infrastructure. Thus, they chain us to fossil for decades to come.
