DeKweepeer Community Garden – Workshop #6 – Seed Selection & Breeding
August 28 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
In our sixth workshop, we will once again focus on our little friends, the seeds. We will learn how to select the right seeds in order to improve the yield. Moreover, we will learn all about breeding! Are you curious about what this all means? Then join us on this Sunday in Amstelveen!
The workshop will take place in DeKweepeer, a beautiful community garden in Amstelveen, located South of Amsterdam. In DeKweepeer, we produce organic vegetables for family and friends and benefit dinners, by involving the neighborhood, refugees and young activists: https://dekweepeer.wordpress.com/. Throughout the year, we organize a series of workshops focusing on the topics of ‘Seeds and Soils’. By joining such a workshop, you will gain practical knowledge and might move a step closer to knowing how to grow your own vegetables. The workshop starts at 11am; after 2 hours of workshop, everyone is invited to join in on a potluck lunch; feel free to bring food you want to share! The workshops will be for free!
If you are interested in joining send an email to kweepeer.amstelveen[at]gmail.com
